Beacon Printing Giving Back to the Community
Recently Beacon Printing Inc., a division of Heritage Printing & Graphics, was very happy to assist a local Southern Maryland elementary school by donating an entire skid of paper for the staff and children. The staff at Dr. James Craik Elementary School were elated with the gift.
The skid of paper was a variety of remnants and overstock that Beacon Printing had accumulated during the current year. Steve Gass, Operations Manager said “We know this overstock paper have value, so we keep it onsite for donation purposes. We like helping our local schools any way we can.”
The paper was in various sizes, 8 ½ x 11 and a collection of 11 x 17 in numerous weights, and colors, even an enormous amount of the highly sought after cardstock. Cardstock is in high demand for Southern Maryland elementary students, often used with the plethora of arts and crafts the children endeavor weekly. Dr. James Craik Elementary staff member was quoted, “There is never enough card stock, we are overjoyed.”
Beacon Printing Inc. representative; Wayne Magoon, delivered the surprise to the delight of the staff and children. Ben Harrington, Vice Principal at Dr. James Craik Elementary School commented, “Thanks so much for the paper! We will put it to use and it is greatly appreciated by our staff!”
The team at Beacon Printing & Heritage Printing & Graphics are happy to assist with local schools and are pleased to have been able to donate the overstock skid of paper to the staff and kids at Dr. James Craik Elementary.
